Character Captain
Learning Intention:
Describe a character.
Success Criteria:
- Character profile sheet is detailed.
- Includes evidence in the form or quotes.
Jun-Jun is his name (though in the story they mainly call him rat)
Rat is a 10 year old boy. He has broken teeth and is very skinny.
Evidence from the story:
'The kid was sitting up, just in his shorts, gazing at me with frightened eyes and his big broken teeth sticking out of his mouth.'
'He had arms as skinny as pencils.'
'He would visit me in my office, sneaking up when the other children had gone, climbing the outside like a monkey.'
'He was the only kid in Behala that I new had no family at all.'
He lives under an old belt machine. The walls of his hole (his home) are made of old cracked bricks. he is always surrounded by rats.
Throughout the story he helps Raphael and Gardo by hiding the bag in his hole, taking them to the train station to find locker 101, and helping them to try and find out what the secret message says.

ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on Character Captain this week. You had evidence and facts to describe Rat (Jun Jun), from different narrators perspective and explained why.
