‘I'm a trash boy with style’
He have a very strong will, and being without education or not enough food to keep him strong he never gives up and when you are in a wrecked town where a lot of people are wanted by the police who do nothing to help the starving kids and the sick and dying. He has no home and only has a poor auntie. He makes a living by looking through the piles of trash through the town and selling them for money. But he is incredibly strong! Raphael fights poverty and with him having so little and some people having so much he deserves so much more than living in a trash site.
“I was a trash boy since I was old enough to move without help and pick things up. That was what- three years old, and I was sorting.”
You deeply understood Raphael's personality and how unfair it is that a boy like him should be homeless and have to search through the trash to get enough money for food.
